Biography of Wiporwil
Wiporwil began dancing in 1975, when she took belly dance lessons with friends
from a
wonderful teacher in Virginia Beach, VA. After moving back to California (where
she was
born), she met and began studying with Mesmera.
Wiporwil kept her dance private from the rest of her life until moving to
Muscle Shoals,
Alabama in 1991. There, friends convinced her to begin teaching and performing
- which
she has done ever since!! Wiporwil and the Rainbow Dancers are a part of the
Alabama
Renaissance Faire, and appear there each year.
Wiporwil is also the sponsor of Mesmera in Sheffield I - VIII, and IX - XII
at the
Florence Lauderdale Coliseum.
